Attached is information about the YMCA national youth exchange program that youth groups from your community may be interested in. The program is a reciprocal exchange for youth groups between the ages of 12 and 17. Groups are twinned with a group in another region of Canada. The focus of exchanges is community engagement. Youth become involved in their home community and get to experience another Canadian community. Participants receive the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, learn about citizenship, and discover their role in Canadian society.

Sep 1, 2009 - The YMCA and Canadian Heritage cover the cost of transportation making this program accessible to all youth. Applications received by September 30, 2009 travel between January and June 2010. Applications received by March 1, 2010 will travel between July and December 2010.
